The Bean, or "The Cloud Gate" as it is apparently officially called, in Millenium Park, Chicago must be one of the best examples of urban sculpture anywhere in the US. Its beautiful during the day but the warped reflections of the city skyline on its mirrored surface at night are truly spectacular.

All I could find in my pantry were these teeny weeny little green beans, called "mung beans". I make a sweet bean soup using palm sugar and dried mandarin peel, following my mums recipe. Those containers are thimbles, which illustrates how small the beans are.

    WIKIPEDIA
The mung bean (also known as mungbean, mung, mungo in Philippines, green gram, or golden gram) is the seed of Vigna radiata. It is native to the Indian subcontinent. They are small, ovoid in shape, and green in colour. The English word mung derives from the Hindi word mg [mu].

April 2012 Scavenger Challenge #25. Education Center: "Be creative!" Youve seen it often in Scavenge Challenge. What exactly does "creative" mean? It means to "think outside the box" (in colloquial terms), to visualize something in a manner which is surprising and unusual. A dose of creativity elevates photography to an art form rather than simply a means of documenting objects and events. Creativity cannot be taught. It comes from within. To tap the depths of your creativity, you are given as your assignment subject this item: one cup of dried beans. Use them wisely!
